A few weeks ago, Microsoft announced their Games on Demand for Windows service. It was just recently made available for download. This service is pretty much a mix between Steam and Xbox Live Marketplace. You are able to use your current Xbox Live account in order to buy, download and play various complete games, demos, videos, downloadable content and more.
As of right now, there are 13 whole games that are available for you including Fallout 3, Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV. Of course, this list will soon include many more games as time goes on. The service is very quick and simple to use. After synching your Xbox Live account, it takes just minutes to download the different games, demos, videos and DLC.
The Games on Demand service is something that should have came about long ago because it is very much needed. This add on to the Games for Windows initiative has not yet received the attention the Microsoft has originally expected it to. They are hoping that Games on Demand is going to help spark some more interest into it.
Have you tried Games on Demand out yet? Do you think this service will benefit you with their games, downloadable content, demos, videos and more?
