Along with the “Milo” demo coming from E3 earlier this year, it has been established that Lionhead Studios will be developing Fable III to be able to use Project Natal. There have been no specifications released yet which has usually been the case with Project Natal. All that is known is that it will support the exciting new device. Lionhead Studios is apparently really impressed by Project Natal that it will be used in all of the studios upcoming projects. This was figured out by a recent job posting:
“Reporting to the Head of Technology, the role involves working within Lionhead’s Central Technology Group R & D team to develop innovative technology for the XBox 360 Natal controller,” reads the description for a “senior Natal technology programmer” position. “Our Natal tech will be used across all Lionhead projects to provide new user interface experiences for our future games.”
The key word in this post is “all”. That does not imply that Project Natal is going to be the main focus for Lionhead games though. It is only saying that Lionhead Studios plans to use elements of Project Natal in everything going forward. Few games will require the use of Project Natal but many games are going to include an optional choice. These details are not necessarily the whole truth but it can be figured out pretty easily.
