Back in the month of June, it was announced that Green Day was going to be working on their very own Rock Band version. It can now be officially announced that Green Day: Rock Band is going to be released next year.
“We are thrilled to work with Green Day to revisit key moments from their career, including their likenesses, content and imagery, through our innovative form of musical interaction,” said Alex Rigopulos, Harmonix CEO and co-founder.
On the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, you will be able to export the whole track list from the game and play it on Rock Band and Rock Band 2.
In case you do not think that you can wait for some Green Day on Rock Band, then you are now able to purchase a track pack which was released yesterday, December 15th. This track pack includes songs from the album, 21st Century Breakdown which was the bands acclaimed album. The three songs are ”Christian’s Inferno,” “Last of the American Girls,” and “¡Viva La Gloria!”
Many people have become huge Green Day fans and are looking forward to Green Day coming out for Rock Band. Make sure to check out the game when it comes out some time next year.
