Dead Space 2 is Moving Forward

After Dead Space came out and had a great number of sales and attention, you would think that Electronic Arts would obviously moving forward right away and work on Dead Space 2. Even if you would like to assume that this is happening, it would still be good to get some confirmation about this. Somebody discovered a bit of evidence to support this thought of a Dead Space sequel. On a job listing site, an ad was put in for a “lead combat and controls designer” at Visceral Games. Visceral Games is the internal Electronic Arts studio that made Dead Space.

“This M-rated action/shooter sequel will set new standards for an action-packed story-driven console experience,” reads part of the listing. “The previous installment in the Dead Spacefranchise received numerous awards for gameplay, visuals, and sound design, and the same core team is in place to create an even better follow up.”

This listing on the ad also noted that Dead Space 2 has already entered the “later” stages of pre-production. The project will be moving into complete production within the next couple months. We now know for sure that Dead Space 2 is coming. We just are not sure of when this will be.
