New information has been received about the new Xbox 360 title, Crackdown 2. This information will appear in the next issue of Game Informer magazine.
Here are some of the recent details that were discovered: Crackdown 2 is expanding its repertoire of bad guys and going supernatural. Also, a zombie-like virus will infect many of the people who live in Pacific City so there will be mutants in the game.
The following are features of the game:
- Multiplayer co-op with up to four players
- Pacific City’s map is similar to the last: There are mostly the same roads and many of the same buildings as before. Though some have been either changed or demolished.
- Civilians have responded to the zombie-threat by arming their cars, so players will now encounter “un-scripted” battles between mutants and NPCs.
- There are more varied melee attacks
- Players can call-in for supplies at any time.
- A ”more precise” targeting system is used
- Skill-based rewards are used
- 16-player deathmatch with a Call of Duty 4-style progressions system.
The first Crackdown was a great game. I think that the sequel deserves a more full treatment.
