Tales of Monkey Island to Xbl Arcade

This rather amusing simple cartoon arcade style game has up until the near future only been available to users through a PC or WiiWare, but according to the publisher TellTale Games, that may soon change for the better. Apparently, one of the biggest reasons for it not being on the Xbox 360 yet is that they are having a pretty big technical problem on their end with what I’d assuming would be programming the game to work on the Xbox 360. Their highest priority right now is to find a fix for this problem and get this game up and running and promptly released into the Xbox Live Arcade.

Game company TellTale’s CEO Dan Conners has very recently said that they are very excited to get the game out on every available platform in the near future, but that will involve the actual programming of each game to be completed as it is done differently for each system which takes additional time. He also believes that the game will become a big success on the Xbox 360’s Xbox Live Arcade in terms of sales. I hope so because the Xbox Live Arcade seems to be struggling if you ask me. Maybe it’s due to gamers not being able to afford more microsoft points. If you’ve actually played the game through WiiWare’s version, you may have noticed the rather advanced control scheme that was a controversial problem when they were switching from the PC version to a console. If you haven’t played it on a console yet, general consensus is that it was a smooth transition to the console and most gamers are happy with the controls. There has been no formal release date set yet; however, expect it to be around 800 Microsoft Points.
