The original game in the Call of Duty series has finally been deemed worthy of entering the ranks of classic games in the Xbox Live Arcade. You can download the full version of the game and it will be stored on your hard drive without having to purchase a disc. There has been no determined release date for it’s release into the Xbox Live Arcade; however, if they continue to wait and launch it this fall around the same time as the release of Modern Warfare 2 they will end up getting very minimal downloads. The sooner the better.
As with the usual classic games, this should cost you 1,600 microsoft points. That’s only $20. The only downside is you can probably get this game for even less used on a disc from Amazon. I’ve only played this game on a demo at Best Buy, but it is the start of the Call of Duty series and has a lot actually interesting parts to it. The campaign is decent, the graphics sort of fail hard core, but what can you expect from a game this old? It’s definitely worth the $20.
