Live Deal of the Week: R-Type Dimensions

Last week we were told about R-Type Command getting a sequel, and this week we learn that the original R-Type game, R-Type Dimensions, is going to be the Xbox Live Arcade deal of the week. Usually this game costs 1,200 Microsoft Points to purchase, but if you act this week you can get it for only 800 Microsoft Points (saving you $5.00 worth of Microsoft Points). Not sure how much of a deal this is though. I mean, this game is over 20 years old. Does that mean console or full out arcade machine? Either way, you can probably play this side scroller for free on the internet nowadays like many of the classic original arcade games. For $10.00 you can own this on your Xbox 360 if you're interested you can get it in the Xbox Live Arcade this week only for the special discounted price. This isn't something I'm going to be downloading, from the minimal screenshots I've seen of it, it looks a lot like Aegis Wing which is free in the Xbox Live Marketplace.
