Final Fantasy XIII DLC

In the beginning, Square Enix had originally said that for the game Final Fantasy XIII there was not going to be any plans to release any downloadable content. The reason that this was their plan is because they did not want for any buyers to believe that the game was incomplete when it was first launched. If people heard that there was some planned downloadable content to be released, then they might believe that Final Fantasy XIII was not complete and they were just trying to find more ways to make money from you. Someone reported that Square Enix has apparently changed it’s perspective on wanting downloadable content for its upcoming Role Playing Game.

The Final Fantasy XIII producer, Yoshinori Kitase, explained that the downloadable content will not be used as a way to expand on the game’s story. However, it will offer a couple new game play opportunities.

Kitase said, “We are exploring the option of downloadable content, perhaps adding new areas, items or enemies, but these would not be expansions to the story, only the game play. The entire story of Final Fantasy XIII will be on the disc.”
