With the lack of games being released in the summer due to a crammed fall of hit titles (not the smartest idea in my mind), Microsoft has announced a busy summer of deals in the Xbox Live Arcade. Microsofts ‘Summer of Arcade’ promotion will create a new deal on a game in the Xbox Live Marketplace every week for the remainder of the summer. From the looks of the games they’ve announced thus far, they are things you’ve probably heard of and been interested in downloading.
The first game is going to be July 22nd. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled was created by Ubisoft. The franchise hit it’s 25th anniversary and will be allowing Xbox Live members to download the game for a mere 1,200 Microsoft Points (400 Microsoft Points cheaper than usual). The game is a remake of the original 2D arcade classic. With all new 3D graphics but the same beat ‘em up game play this game is a hit.
You may want to jump on this game on the 22nd because there was no mentioning of whether the deal lasts throughout the week until the next game is slotted for discount or if it is a one day deal and the rest of the week is meant for you to play them.
