A lot of people have come to know that the next project that will be done by the developer, Treyarch, will most likely be a Vietnam based Call of Duty game. Then something that may surprise you is that the next game for Infinity Ward, who is the the developer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, is still a complete mystery. If the new information that was just released is believable then we can now assume that there is not going to be the game, Modern Warfare 3.
Apparently, Infinity Ward has told people that there are going to take a break from Modern Warfare in order to start something that is entirely new. This newly released information could mean anything so do not take anything completely serious right now. Remain skeptical until something that is more official is announced.
All Infinity Ward fans are hoping for them to return for at least one final Modern Warfare game. However, I am sure that what ever they decide to do is going to be some thing that is worth checking out.
